Who We Are

Providence Childcare and Preschool is a mother-daughter team who put experiences and formal training together to open their first childcare and learning development center in October of 1999.  Lisa Brewer has a master's degree in education and has recently resigned from Jefferson County Public Schools after a ten year career as a teacher and most recently an educational consultant.  She is hands on in terms of the educational aspects of both Providence Childcare and Preschool locations.  Faye Thomas has previous experiences in business and relocated to Louisville after being gone for several years to venture into the world of childcare.

Our Philosophy

Providence Childcare & Preschool is truly committed to the belief that children are our most precious resource.  We also believe that what your child learns while he or she is with us about him/herself, friends and the world around them will prepare him/her for a lifetime of learning.  We believe that children learn at varying rates and in a variety of ways and we are committed to helping each child reach his/her potential.  Finally, we are committed to providing quality care for each and every child in our center.
 

What We Offer

Providence Childcare and Preschool is much more than a childcare center. While we are proud to provide the highest quality childcare available, we take childcare to a higher level. Providence Childcare and Preschool is a full-service learning center, offering structured cirriculum, in a learning environment geared for children from infants and toddlers, to school-age children.

From infancy to pre-kindergarten, lessons are planned and implemented by the some of the most experienced childcare staff Louisville has to offer.  We have several on staff in critical positions that hold bachelor's degrees in education or associates degrees in early childhood development.  Additionally, all Providence CCPS staff are required to pursue their CDA for childcare.
